Brookshire Homeowners' Picnic, September 24th

Residents of Brookshire are encouraged to attend the re-instated, annual picnic/block party on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Come meet your neighbors, your current board and enjoy some good grub.

At the Annual Brookshire Homeowners picnic, and we’re going big!
· Meet your neighbors,
· Enjoy great food,
· Music, popcorn and more,
· And an INFLATABLE for the kids! (weather permitting)

NEW: You can enter our first-ever neighborhood bake-off. One winner will receive a Zarda's gift card, enough to feed a family of four. Rules are simple:

  • You must submit one homemade pie or cake (sorry cookie lovers)

  • The dessert must be made by you, the current resident. Unless "grandma" lives with you full-time, she can't enter her pie in the bake-off, unless you do the mixing and baking yourself.

  • Former board members or an impartial panel will be asked on site to judge. (You cannot be a judge if your household entered the bake-off.)

The epicenter of the activity will be at 1903 Brighton Place. The through street and drives will be blocked, so park up the street and walk, or just walk from your house if you are close enough.

The Brookshire Board will provide the meat (burgers and dogs), buns, condiments, and plasticware. You bring a dessert and side dish, and don't forget your lawn chairs!

This event is for current homeowners and residents. (You will have to "party" with your extended family and friends on your own time and turf :)

{{In the event of inclement weather, parts or all of the festivities may be cancelled. At this point, no rain-date has been determined. Email brookshireHOA@yahoo.com before 3 p.m. on the 24th if concerned about the weather. Or check back to this blog site.}}
